Hitler’s Gestapo has been reborn in my country and to me it is a shock as much as a fear. I grew up in the thirties and forties, watching news reels n movie theaters that showed horror films of Hitler’s agents grabbing people off the streets and out of schools, of trains taking them to camps and later, of bulldozers pushing their bodies into mass graves. People in the theaters cried and hid their eyes. It was beyond belief that a country could allow such a monster to lead it into such depravity.
For me, it is a nightmare come true to see this happening in my homeland, students and mothers snatched off the streets, men beaten and shackled in huge prisons – how did we get to this? How?
How can the evil of one man infect a nation as Trump’s has? It baffles my mind. He is so obviously mean and vindictive. How how people who call themselves Christian follow him? Several years ago young people often wore T shirts with a message printed that asked, “What would Jesus do?” Does anyone believe Jesus would behave as Trump does? Would He make up a cute song about bombing a foreign nation and turning it into a parking lot? Would he? Would you?
